Colombian grown. Canadian owned.

Our roots in Canada and Colombia

Canadian entrepreneur Anthony Wile, co-founder and now CEO of PharmaCielo, foresaw the global expansion of the then-nascent cannabis industry after engagement with Canada’s burgeoning industry.  However, having lived and worked part-time in Colombia over the previous 16 years, Anthony quickly recognized the region’s perfect environmental conditions and the country’s positive political, economic and business direction.

Today, PharmaCielo Ltd. is a global company privately held and headquartered in Canada. We chose Canada to house our global parent based on its high standards of financial accountability and leadership in establishing a highly regulated, national medical cannabis industry.

PharmaCielo Colombia Holdings S.A.S., its wholly owned operating subsidiary, is headquartered in Rionegro, Colombia. We chose Colombia as our operational base for its outstanding climatic and economic conditions, including its history in the cut-flower industry, as well as its clear legal framework for cannabis licensing.

Together, these factors make Colombia the most cost-competitive and environmentally friendly nation for producing all natural cannabis products of the highest quality.

Fully committed to Colombia

With over 150 registered strains, PharmaCielo is committed to becoming the world’s leading supplier of naturally grown and processed, standardized medicinal-grade cannabis oil extracts and related products. But PharmaCielo isn’t just a company that’s operating in Colombia; we’re committed to generating economic growth within the country, furthering Colombia’s medical cannabis industry and supporting the Colombian people in building a global industry that benefits the very people who have often been most challenged.

We work together with Cooperativa Caucannabis and its 63 local regional farmer members in Cauca to cultivate cannabis for the production of standardized, medicinal-grade oil extracts and related products. We are proud to stand with the communities of Cauca, which have been at the front line of challenge from revolutionary forces over past decades.

Our inclusive approach ensures that Colombia’s indigenous communities, who have decades and even centuries of experience cultivating ancient Colombian strains of cannabis for spiritual and medicinal use, have their rightful seat at the table of the cannabis industry. Our relationship with the Arhuaco peoples was developed based on mutual commitment and respect and provided access to one of the best known and revered strains of cannabis, long under the spiritual responsibility of the Arhuaco peoples – Colombian Gold.
